WatMan filter sets

Water quality

See General brochure (FI)

For a suitable filter type, we first need to know the origin and quality of the water. Here we use the household water analysis and test filtration conducted by a water laboratory.

The Fe filter series maintains and even improves the freshness of the water, as it relies on oxygen filtration without any chemicals at all.

The filtered water remains cool, and as the water volume is low, there is no need for a water pump that would warm up the water. In addition to iron and manganese, the equipment removes hydrogen sulphide, as well as aggressive carbonic acid and some humus. Other special filters can also remove other contaminants, such as radon or salt.

Fe-series

See a picture of the device's operating principle > Filtration of iron, manganese and humus

Fe series filters are based on natural filtering. The pollutants are deposited in a special mass of burnt natural stone. The amount of wash water required by WatMan filters is small.

Removal of iron and manganese

IX-series

See a picture of the device's operating principle > Ion exchange filter

The IX Series is based on ion exchange and can remove lime, iron, manganese, humus and uranium.

Damages caused by hardness can be permanently prevented by installing a IX water softening filter. The treated water is soft and will no longer clog water systems. In addition to hardness, the device can be used to remove dissolved iron and manganese. At the same time, the equipment can filter uranium out of water.

MLF-series

See a picture of the device's operating principle > Catalytic filtering

The MLF series devices can eliminate a wide range of impurities. Filter fillers are selected based on what impurities need to be removed at any given time.

The operation of the device consists of a series of consecutive filters and washings, which maintain the continuous functioning of the filler. The filter filler is changed if needed, usually every few years.

RnAI-series

See a picture of the device's operating principle > Radon, hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide filtration

The RnAI series aeration devices are suitable for radon, hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide removal. Radon as a whole (including radon in the inside air) causes an estimated 200 lung cancer cases annually in Finland.

Radon can easily be removed as a gaseous substance through efficient aeration. Air with radon is vented in a controlled manner into the outdoor air through a blower. The radon aerator is installed immediately after the bore pump. The unit's own control centre monitors the entire water management system and makes it fully automated.

Radon and uranium removal

RnH- ja RnAH -series

See a picture of the device's operating principle> Activated carbon filtering

The RnH and RnAH series devices are another good option for removing radon. The RnAH model is equipped with an automated counter current wash. Activated carbon is particularly suitable for the removal of small or medium amounts of radon.

In automatic models, the RnAH mass can be flushed to remove contaminants such as rust. In models RnH this is not possible.

RO-series

See the certificate for the removal of blue-green algae (PDF: 81 kb)
See a picture of the device's operating principle >  Reverse osmosis

Osmosis is a natural phenomenon. If two solutions ? a saline and non-saline - are separated from each other by a semi-permeable membrane, the saline solution will dilute until the salt content on both sides of the film is the same. A pressure differential is formed between the solutions, resulting in osmotic pressure. With regard to water purification, the phenomenon is backwards. If the saline solution is subjected to an external pressure greater than the natural osmotic pressure, the osmotic phenomenon may be reversed. The pressure and the semi-permeable membrane purify the water; in other words, reverse osmosis. The water drained through the membrane is purified water, the permeate. The dirty portion of the water that does not penetrate the film is discharged and drained. This portion takes with it over 90% of raw water contaminants.

The equipment can be installed in the household?s technical space or in a cabinet below a sink. The smallest equipment has a capacity of some tens of litres per day, which is sufficient for all food and drinking water. The smallest devices are equipped with their own faucet. Most of the equipment is typically equipped with a clean water storage tank and a separate pressure boost.

RO-series devices can be used to remove salt, chloride, arsenic, fluoride, uranium, including, for example, nitrates. In Finland, salt is especially abundant in coastal areas. Too much salt is harmful for one?s health and it will rust water systems and shorten their life.

The negative effects of both nitrate and fluoride are the most significant in children, although adults must also avoid these compounds.

C-series

See a picture of the device's operating principle > Alkali filter

C Series Devices - as well as a series of FeAC and a number of MLF devices, are ideal for water alkalizing, i.e. raising the pH of the water. Water should be alkalized i.e. the pH of the water should be raised when copper or other metal tubes indicate signs of corrosion.

Investment, as well as operating costs, are minimal in terms of the benefits that can be achieved: we are talking about an investment of a few hundred euros, that amounts to only about 10 to 15 euros a year. Install the unit before the pressure tank.

Single family homes Estimate Your Water Consumption (FI)

Water consumption in a single-family house is usually less than 20 l / min. Even the smallest WatMan filters have enough capacity to clean the water of one, or even two, households. Due to their small size, the equipment can also be installed in tight spaces.

Automation WatMan filters are automatic, making them easy to use. We also supply manually operated equipment.

Chemicals Fe series filters do not require chemicals. The IX series ion exchange filters are automatically revived with salt (NaCl).

Total filter costs WatMan filters are cost-effective. Due to the simplicity of the unit, the installation costs will typically be about a hundred euros; the device can often be installed the user. The machine does not need continuous maintenance, filter mass inspection and addition is easy.

Guarantees WatMan provides a quality guarantee for filtered water according to Regulations 401/2001 or 461/2001 of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. Additionally, the equipment comes with a 1 to 3 year mechanical warranty and, of course, a right of return under the Consumer Protection Act.

Delivery Standard equipment is delivered directly from your warehouse to your door or to your desired HVAC store. You can get the filters almost anywhere in Finland in just a few days. Our delivery always includes clear installation and operating instructions.

Other considerations WatMan filters can be installed in any space where they will not freeze and that is equipped with a drain. We always build equipment from components that have a good value for money or customize them from the very beginning.

Installation of activated carbon RnH series equipment should be carried out at least 3 to 5 meters from the living areas. Alternatively, the equipment should be installed close to the well or insulated with radiation protection.
